We are not a government agency and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), or any other government agency in the United States or Korea. Most government filings we handle — including patent and trademark applications — may be prepared and submitted by applicants directly with the agency, without hiring an attorney. If you file yourself, no attorney fee is owed to us and you pay only the agency's official fee, if any; certain government services (such as searching the USPTO and KIPO public databases and obtaining official forms and information) are available directly from the agency free of charge. Fees paid to us are for legal services — they are not government fees.
Decision-Making Authority: All decisions — including whether a patent or trademark is granted, examination outcomes, and processing times — rest solely with the relevant government agency or court. We have no authority or influence over those decisions and guarantee no particular outcome. The client retains final decision-making authority over the objectives of the representation.
Sanctioned Countries: We do not offer, provide, or accept payment for services to any person or entity located in, organized under the laws of, or acting on behalf of a comprehensively sanctioned country or region — including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine — or to any party designated on the OFAC SDN List, the BIS Entity List, or any other applicable restricted-party list.
Refunds & Acknowledgement: Any portion of fees corresponding to work not yet performed is fully refundable (government filing fees and third-party costs already incurred are excluded). Clients acknowledge and accept our Terms and Refund Policy at the time they pay an invoice — every invoice contains a link to these terms and an express acceptance statement.
